On June 6, 2014, Cliff Wilson was appointed as deputy secretary for regulatory programs at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

In this new position, Wilson will provide oversight and direction to the regulatory divisions and six district offices and will be replacing Jeff Littlejohn, who will be returning to the private sector.

Wilson currently serves as assistant deputy secretary of land and recreation at DEP. He previously worked in the department’s Northwest District Office where he served as the assistant director. He is a professional engineer and graduate of Florida State University with a degree in civil engineering.

In a memo to all DEP employees, Sec. Herschel Vinyard thanked Littlejohn for “his extraordinary contributions to DEP over the past three years. His attitude of public service has permeated his professional career both as a U.S. Navy officer and his role as deputy secretary at DEP.”
