Public workshops on statewide water use permitting rule changes set for May

The public is invited to attend two workshops on rule development for statewide consumptive use permitting consistency hosted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Suwannee River Water Management District.



The purpose of the rule is to improve consistency in the consumptive/water use permitting programs implemented by the five water management districts.



The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Tommy Usher Community Center, 506 SW 4th Avenue, Chiefland. The second will be held on Tuesday, May 21 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Suwannee River Water Management District’s headquarters, 9225 CR 49, Live Oak.
